Soloday Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Soloday does not collect any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device. The app has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no ability to send data anywhere — it does not request internet access.
What the app stores
Soloday saves the following on your device only, so that it can work between launches:
- The name you enter during setup
- Your tasks, including titles, notes, times, due dates and priorities
- Your habits and the days you marked them complete
- Your completed focus sessions and their durations
- Your goal title and target date
- Your settings, such as theme, accent colour and focus duration
This data is held in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. None of it is transmitted off the device.
What the app does not do
- No data is sent to us or to anyone else — the app does not hold the Android
INTERNETpermission, so it is technically incapable of doing so - No analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party SDKs are included
- No account, sign-in, email address or phone number is required or requested
- Your location, contacts, camera, microphone and files are never accessed
Permissions and why they are needed
| Permission | Why Soloday requests it |
|---|---|
POST_NOTIFICATIONS |
To show the running focus timer and to alert you when a session finishes, and to show the optional daily planning reminder. Declining it does not stop the timer working; you simply will not be told when it ends. |
USE_EXACT_ALARMSCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM |
So a focus session ends at the exact moment it should, even when the screen is off and the device is idle. A timer that fires several minutes late is not a timer. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED |
To re-schedule your daily reminder after the device restarts. Without it, the reminder would silently stop after every reboot. |
None of these permissions give the app access to personal information, and none are used to identify you.
Backups
If you have Android's backup or device-transfer feature enabled, Android may include Soloday's tasks, habits, focus history and settings in the backup it makes to your own Google account. That backup is handled entirely by Android and Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's privacy policy. We never see it. You can turn this off in your device's system settings.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling Soloday removes all of its data from your device. You can also clear it at any time from Android Settings → Apps → Soloday → Storage → Clear data. Because nothing is stored on a server, there is nothing for you to request deletion of, and no copy of your data anywhere else.
Children
Soloday is a personal planning app suitable for general audiences. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Soloday ever collects or transmits data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described here.
